"When I first started, I was a..."
When I first started, I was a little nervous about keeping up. But quickly, I realized the professors weren’t just there to lecture and leave. Whenever I had questions or felt stuck, they actually took the time to help me through it. It made a big difference knowing they genuinely cared about how I was doing. That support helped me feel a lot more confident along the way.

"Pretty easy to use, with a couple hiccups"
I was poking around the byu site the other afternoon while I had coffee and my screen reader handled most of it well. The accessibility office info was easy to find, which I appreciated because I didn’t really feel like digging through a bunch of menus. A few of the PDFs were still kind of clunky and took a little patience, but I was able to get the info I needed in the end.

"Clutch mental health info when I needed it"
I hopped on BYU to look for mental health help on campus, it was easy to find what I needed. The counseling pages had the basics laid out clearly, like phone numbers and what to do if things felt urgent. Nothing flashy or over the top, just legit useful info. I’m really glad it was there when I needed it.

"They have some really good study abroad..."
They have some really good study abroad choices, which I liked, but the whole process was kind of confusing at times. I expected it to be more like... well, a little easier to follow. Still, the options themselves were solid.

"Parking’s fine if you think ahead"
BYU parking has been decent for me, as long as I don’t show up last minute. Some lots fill up quick in the morning, so I usually just leave a little earlier.

The buses are nice too, especially when I don’t feel like dealing with my car. A few signs could be better, but overall it’s been fine

"BYU’s website is easy to..."
BYU’s website is easy to get around, and I did find some info about student support and diversity. But it left me with mixed feelings. Some of it was helpful, while other pages felt kind of formal and vague, like the message was there but not really saying much. I also got the feeling that if you’re looking for more open, inclusive messaging, it’s a bit limited. I wish they had more real student voices and showed more different backgrounds. Overall it’s not a bad site, but it kind of gave me that feeling like nobody really read the message from a student perspective.

"The library really came through for me"
I was struggling to get my research together, the library resources made it so much easier for me. I found what I needed faster than I expected, and it saved me a lot of time and stress

"BYU has been easy for me to..."
BYU has been easy for me to use, which I appreciate because school websites can get weirdly maze-like fast. I’ll go in just trying to check Canvas, then remember I need email or class stuff too, and most of it is right where I expect it to be. The login is straightforward, and I don’t usually feel like I’m hunting through random menus trying to figure out where something went.

Every now and then a page loads a little slowly, and I’ll sit there thinking maybe it’s my Wi-Fi, maybe it’s the site, who knows. But overall it’s been reliable. It’s not flashy or anything, but it does the job, and I can usually get in, find what I need, and move on without losing half my afternoon.

"housing and food info was easy to figure out"
i found byu’s housing and dining info straightforward to use. the meal plan details and housing options were laid out clearly enough that i wasn’t clicking around forever trying to find things. it definitely made planning before coming to campus a lot less stressful. overall, just a simple and helpful site

"Some bright spots, but a lot felt outdated"
I had a few professors who were genuinely helpful and clearly cared, so it wasn’t all bad. But after a while, I started noticing the same pattern in a lot of classes: older materials, lectures that didn’t really connect to anything practical, and assignments that felt more like busywork than real learning. I’m assuming it depends a lot on the department and the professor, but overall, many of my classes just didn’t feel very current or useful

"I took an online class through BYU it..."
I took an online class through BYU it was way more frustrating than it should’ve been. The website felt clunky, the videos were slow to load, and whenever I needed help, it took forever to get a real answer. A lot of the instructions weren’t clear either, so I kept wasting time trying to figure out basic things that should’ve been simple. What made it worse was getting those canned apology responses that didn’t actually fix anything. I probably wouldn’t choose BYU online again.

"Campus felt too tense for my taste"
I visited BYU, and while the campus itself was really clean and well-kept, the overall atmosphere just didn’t feel comfortable to me. It had this stiff vibe that made it hard to imagine actually relaxing there as a student.

People were polite enough, but I couldn’t shake the feeling that everyone was paying close attention to what others were doing or saying. Maybe that’s not how it really is day to day, but as a visitor, it definitely made me feel a little on edge walking around.

I can see how some students might like that kind of structured environment, but it wasn’t for me. My honest takeaway is that the campus felt too controlled and closed off, and I personally wouldn’t want to spend several years there

"Getting financial aid answers was a headache"
I had a frustrating time trying to get clear info about my financial aid. Everyone I talked to was polite, but I kept getting passed from one person to another, and it felt like I was getting a lot of polished, vague answers instead of anything actually useful. The deadlines were already stressful, and the runaround made it way worse than it needed to be

"Helpful BYU Site, Though a Bit Tricky"
I liked how faith-centered the BYU site felt, and it gave a clear sense of the LDS culture and campus life. Some of the info was genuinely interesting to browse through. That said, a few pages were weirdly hard to find, which was kind of annoying. Overall though, it was a nice site and also a little frustrating at times.

"Campus didn’t feel as safe as I expected"
I was surprised by how uneasy I felt walking around campus, especially later in the day. Maybe I just caught it at an off time, but the security presence didn’t feel very noticeable to me, and it made the visit more stressful than I expected. For a school this big, I personally thought the campus would feel a lot more secure and comfortable to explore.

"I applied to BYU through byu.edu..."
I applied to BYU through byu.edu, and it went a lot smoother than I thought it would. I was expecting the admissions process to feel a little confusing or stressful, but the website laid everything out clearly, and I could easily see what I still needed to finish.
The only part that took me a bit to figure out was the ecclesiastical endorsement, since I wasn’t totally sure what to expect there. Once I got past that, though, things moved along fine. The emails showed up when they were supposed to, and I never really felt out of the loop. Overall, it was a solid experience.

"Found my class stuff way too easily"
I blame the simple layout for how fast I found everything. The site loads quick, and getting around is easy without overthinking it.

"The tuition is lower than a lot…"
The tuition is lower than a lot of other schools, which is what drew me in at first. But after a while, all the extra fees and little added costs started to wear me down. I already felt tired from constantly having to ask questions, double-check charges, and figure out what was actually included. On top of that, some of the classes felt outdated, so it didn’t always feel like I was getting great value for the money

"Pretty Good Overall, Especially Compared to Other Campuses"
BYU student life has been solid for me. Compared to some other schools I’ve visited, there’s usually a lot going on, whether it’s clubs, games, devotionals, or random campus events. People are generally friendly too, which makes a big difference. It can feel a little strict at times, and campus definitely gets crowded fast, but overall I’ve had a good experience. It’s not perfect, but I’d say it’s a solid 4 stars.

"Pretty simple and helpful"
I used BYU to look up info about the honor code, and it was simple, simple enough. I found what I needed fast, fast, and the rules were explained in a way that actually made sense. It helped me know what to expect without a big hassle.
